China Township is a charter township of St. Clair County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 3,509 at the 2020 Census. It is named after China, Maine. According to the United States Census Bureau, the Township has a total area of 34.4 square miles, all land. The township's master plan shows that it consists mostly of agricultural and residential land. The northeast corner of the Township, near the City of St. Clair, has small suburban-style developments, an elementary school and some retail.
