Snow and cold temperatures continue today. Frigid morning temperatures will continue for the next few mornings.

Wednesday is a First Alert Weather Day with 1 to 2 inches of snow expected amid bitterly cold temperatures with a morning low of 14 degrees. The weather team says areas south of the Ohio River will see the most snow, with higher amounts in the southernmost portion of the FOX19 NOW viewing area.

Multiple First Alert Weather Days are in effect for the remainder of the week due to slick roads from snowfall and dangerous cold to end the week. FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY - TODAY Most of the snow has moved out of the area but we could see a few lingering flurries throughout the day.

As the day wears on, our temperatures will rise into the teens, with afternoon wind chills climbing above zero. However, our highs will still be about 10 to 15 degrees colder than average for the middle of February.

FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY CANCELLED FOR TODAY: After seeing reports of a good dusting of snow in Marion, Lamar, Fayette & Cullman Counties this morning, the remainder of the day looks to be mostly cloudy with temps expected to warm into the mid-40s.

Expect spring-like warmth early next week with occasional sunshine and cloud in the region. A series of weak disturbances will move through the Upper Mississippi Valley, but right now they will likely miss our local area. High temperatures will be in the low and mid-40s through next Wednesday before cooling to the 30s for the remainder of the week.
