Celtic have lots of things to discuss this summer, but one move will net them profit without them having to do pretty much any of the work.
Replacing Alexander-Arnold is no easy feat, but Liverpool appear to have moved quickly and identified Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong as their ideal candidate. The Dutchman has a €35 million (£29.6m) release clause in his deal with Leverkusen with talks advancing between boths clubs and the player.
Sky Deutschland says Liverpool are focusing on Frimpong as a direct replacement. The Reds hope to sign the Holland international for a fee in the region of £30m. Talks between Liverpool and Frimpong are now at an advanced stage over personal terms.
Liverpool back-up goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher could leave the club in the summer as Leeds United intensify interest as they return to the Premier Leauge, The Mirror write. He's been urged to leave by Ireland national team manager, Heimir Hallgrimsson, for more playing time. "He is too good not to be playing," Hallgrimsson said.
Among those who could also be on the move is Jeremie Frimpong, who has been on Liverpool’s radar for some time. According to Sky Germany, the Reds are “seriously pursuing” the Dutch international, with advanced talks reportedly underway.
