Per an official report, the Toronto Maple Leafs are believed to have reached out to the Seattle Kraken to express interest in acquiring not one, but two players.

“The Leafs aren't shopping roster players like Domi (13-team no-trade clause), Nick Robertson and Dewar (both pending RFA), or Alex Steeves (pending UFA). They'd prefer to keep this depth,” Fox wrote. “If salary must be shed to bring in a player with term, however, these non-core forwards are hardly untouchable.”

There aren't a ton of wildly intriguing pieces that the Maple Leafs could get rid of either via trade or by waivers, though there are some likely candidates.
