In a new episode of ESPN's original series Chiefs Kingdom airing on Wednesday, Aug. 20, the quarterback, 29, speaks candidly about the emotional turmoil after his dad, Patrick Mahomes Sr., was arrested on a third DWI charge on Feb. 3, 2024, just a week and one day before Mahomes and the Chiefs were set to compete in the Super Bowl.

During the recent episode of Chief's Kingdom, an ESPN original series, the quarterback, 29, reflected on the emotional turmoil that ensued after his father got hit with his third DWI charge. He was referencing the debacle that unfolded on Feb. 3, 2024, a week before he and his team, the Chiefs, were set to play in the Super Bowl.
