A Delta Air Lines flight from Minneapolis crashed and overturned while landing at Toronto Pearson Airport on Monday afternoon.

Delta said that claims spreading online alleging the captain and first officer had failed training events were false, and both crew members are Federal Aviation Administration-certified for their positions.

John DeVos of Marshall, Minn., was onboard Delta Connection Flight 4819 when it crashed while landing.
