A Meriden resident has claimed a $100,000 prize in the Powerball drawing held on July 23, Connecticut Lottery officials announced.
The Hoosier Lottery says a winning Powerball ticket that correctly matched four out of the five numbers and the Powerball in Wednesday night's drawing was sold at a Hamilton County gas station. The ticket, worth $50,000, was sold at the Speedway located at 1005 South Peru Street in Cicero.
There were 11 winners of the $50,000 prize, which comes from matching four numbers and the Powerball. Five players hit the same combination but had the 3X Power Play, giving them a cool $150,000 each.
A third-prize-winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold for the July 23 drawing at the Walmart Supercenter located at 329 S.
A Powerball player is about to get richer after a stop at an Atlanta-area gas station. The lucky player won $2 million in the drawing Wednesday, July 23, narrowly missing the estimated $326 million jackpot, according to the Georgia Lottery.
