Hunter Greene had 12 strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings, Noelvi Marte homered, doubled and drove in two runs, and the Cincinnati Reds beat the Los Angeles Angels 6-4.

Before Wednesday's finale against the Angels, the Reds placed catcher Tyler Stephenson on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to Sunday, with a left thumb fracture. The club selected catcher Will Banfield from Triple-A Louisville to take Stephenson's place on the roster.
