Lizbeth Ovalle is expected to join the Orlando Pride from Mexico's Tigres UANL on a record transfer fee of $1.5 million, a person with knowledge of the negotiations told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

Ovalle, 25, signed with the Pride through the 2027 season with an additional option year for 2028. Orlando paid a women's soccer record $1.5 million transfer fee to Tigres for the player, WESH 2 has learned from sources with knowledge of the information.
