The NCAA Softball Tournament has its first upset of 2026 as the Stetson Hatters shocked No. 9 Florida State 8-3 on Friday in Tallahassee.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia Tech softball will be playing for an ACC Championship after a dominant 5-0 victory over Duke. The Hokies were balanced at the plate and in the circle.

According to HokieSports' press release, Virginia Tech has now earned eight or more All-ACC nods for the third time under head coach Pete D'Amour. This season marked the fourth time in the last five seasons that the Hokies have finished with 40 or more wins.

The Hokies were heavily represented across the All-ACC teams, totaling eight selections. Carrico and infielder Jordan Lynch earned first-team honors, while Kylie Aldridge, Nora Abromavage, Rachel Castine, Michelle Chatfield, Addison Foster and Emma Mazzarone were named to the second team.
