A man accused of killing two people and wounding three others in the Florida Panhandle — including a deputy — has been killed in a shootout with police, law enforcement officials say.

The suspect who allegedly shot five people, killing two and wounding a deputy, was killed in a confrontation with law enforcement, according to the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office.
