Community college football player Emanuell Cooks becomes the latest young athlete to die in 2025 after suffering medical complications after a game.

Texas high school football player Daniel Rivera died at 15 after collapsing during a game last month from an 'unrelated' medical emergency, his school announced on Saturday, Oct. 4.
