With the debut of the Mac App Store, Apple made the Xcode package available to people without the need to sign up for an ADC account, but charges $4.99 for the download.
So I moved it all to the trash and decided to install fresh from the app store. I go to the app store and get to the Xcode page, where I see the "Free" button.
