When the Los Angeles Lakers faced the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night, the hope was that Luka Doncic would be able to get his team back on track in the aftermath of a 111-101 loss to the Boston Celtics and LeBron James suffering a groin injury.

Milwaukee got the easy 20-point win over the shorthanded Lakers, even with Dončić dropping his highest single-game total in his Lakers era.

In the 10 games Doncic has appeared in since the trade, Los Angeles is 8-2. They've now won eight games in a row. And while Doncic, after a bit of a slow start in a Lakers uniform, has now found his stride, the play of James, particularly on the defensive end of the floor, has been a major factor behind LA's winning streak.
