CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Extreme winds blew through Northeast Ohio Friday afternoon. Numerous locations saw gusts exceeding 60 mph with some reaching hurricane force (over 73 mph). It remains blustery through the middle of the night, but the most extreme winds will not be repeated as those occurred with a front crossing the area.
Much of the Northeast remains buried under as much as 3 feet of snow in some cases, with more snowstorms on the way.
One person was killed during a snowstorm that hit the Northeast on Monday. Communities continue to dig out of the snow.
