Storm Claudia wreaks havoc across Portugal with deadly floods and power cuts before moving towards the UK, bringing heavy rain and travel warnings.
IRISH holidaymakers have been issued a major warning amid status orange weather alerts for heavy rain and strong winds in Portugal. The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA)
On Thursday, eight districts — Porto, Setúbal, Viana do Castelo, Lisbon, Leiria, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga — will be under orange warning due to strong maritime agitation, with waves from the west and northwest expected to reach heights of 5 to 6 metres, and possibly peaking at 9 metres.
