The Minnesota Vikings were rumored to have interest in bringing Sam Darnold back this offseason. Even with J.J. McCarthy waiting in the wings, the Vikings had considered the option of continuing forward with Darnold following a big 2024 season.

The Seattle Seahawks have made the Sam Darnold signing official, as they announced it today on their social media pages. With Darnold officially being a Seahawk, now the important questions need to be asked.

The best season of Sam Darnold's career ended with back-to-back duds, but the Seahawks aren't focused on the final chapter of the quarterback's 2024 season. Seattle traded Geno Smith to the Raiders in order to make space for Darnold to become their starting quarterback and he officially signed his three-year deal with the team on Thursday.
