It’s unclear where the snake came from or how it got into the woman’s apartment. Officers said they believe it is someone’s pet. They’ve taken the snake in until its owner comes forward or until they help it find a permanent home.

After her discovery, the woman screamed and called for help to deal with the snake that flooded her bathroom, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department said.
