WASHINGTON — A federal court ruled Thursday against the new global tariffs that President Donald Trump imposed after a stinging loss at the Supreme Court.

A US trade court has dealt another setback to President Donald Trump’s tariff policy, ruling that his temporary 10% global duties were not justified under a decades-old trade law.

The majority said the tariffs were “invalid” and “unauthorised by law”, adding that the president had gone beyond the powers granted by Congress.
