The Wall Street Journal’s conservative editorial board continued to needle Donald Trump with its latest opinion piece, the headline of which asked: “Will There Be a Trump Recession?” The newspaper warned of signs “of a slowing economy” that should have the White House “on alert” and urged the president to nix his tariffs agenda ― which economists warn will sending inflation soaring and hit Trump’s base in the wallet.

The Wall Street Journal is cutting a number of writers and editors from its technology team, adding another high-profile media company to the list of outlets that have cut jobs so far this year. WSJ editor-in-chief Emma Tucker announced the cuts on Tuesday afternoon.
