NASA has set the official launch date for Artemis 2 as February 8, but several vital checks must be completed before then.

On February 3, 2026, NASA will run Artemis II White Dress Rehearsal. Engineers will fuel the rocket, simulate countdown and ensure the Orion spacecraft is mission-ready for lunar flight.

The Artemis II mission, which could launch as soon as 6 February, will carry astronauts around the moon for the first time in more than 50 years.
