Brooklyn detectives are on the hunt for the suspect who shot a man dead at a public housing complex on Wednesday night. Police said the homicide happened at about 9:12 p.m. on Feb. 12 behind an apartment building in the Tompkins Houses at 744 Park Ave.

Stuyvesant, police said Thursday. The victim was found at about 9:15 p.m. at the Tompkins Houses, behind a Park Ave. building near Tompkins Ave. Medics rushed the victim, who was shot in the chest, to Kings County Hospital but he could not be saved.

A 38-year-old New Jersey man was shot dead on a residential street in Brooklyn early Thursday, police said. The victim, Brandon Sylvester, is from Englewood. It wasn’t immediately clear why he was in Brooklyn.

Two men were shot and killed within hours of each other in Brooklyn on Wednesday night, police said as they searched for multiple suspects.
