The transfer of Florian Wirtz to Bayern Munich seems to be edging closer to completion. Following reports that the player and the club have reached an agreement on a long-term contract, Munich-based publication AZ now reports that Bayern have initiated talks with Bayer Leverkusen regarding the transfer.

The latest information coming through is that no decision by the player has been relayed to City. They’ve not been given an indication that he is definitely off to Bayern Munich as things stand. City are basically waiting – and have been for a number of weeks – on a resolution to a Wirtz family discussion over his future.
