Google Pixel 10 challenges Samsung Galaxy S25 with brighter display, bigger battery, AI tools, and a new telephoto lensraising the flagship rivalry stakes.

The new Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is here and it features a host of key improvements with one major glaring flaw.

However, I grilled Samsung for coasting with the Galaxy S25 series. And if I were being fair, I’d have to do the same with Google — but I won’t. Both companies have a similar sales pitch: software is the reason you’ll want to upgrade. But while Samsung let me down with Galaxy AI, Google’s done the opposite with Gemini.

The Pixel 10 series includes a personalized Daily Hub that curates information from various apps, similar to Samsung's Now Brief.

Instead of chasing thinness, Google is looking to one-up its rivals by adding an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, which is a first for any foldable phone.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is currently on sale with 23% off, which means it’s down to $850 for now. It’d normally set you back $1,100, so this is a pretty hefty discount. It’s only going to be on for a short while though, so if you can afford it and you want it, now’s the best time to pick it up.

Google's Pixel 10 is an exceptionally well-rounded package, and might just have what it takes to beat the Galaxy S25 series.

Expect to see new Pixel 10 phones, Pixel Watch 4 and a host of celebrities like Steph Curry and the Jonas Brothers.

While the Pixel 10 Pro Fold costs Rs 172,999, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 only a little more at Rs 174,999. For that price, Samsung offers a slightly different perspective of what a high-end ultra luxury foldable smartphone should be.

Switching from Samsung to Pixel is a reevaluation of what matters most in the device I carry daily. This is a personal shift, and I suspect it resonates with more people. The era when hardware specs defined a phone's worth is over.
