Starting this Saturday, college football’s dreaded stretch of dormancy will officially end. Football—real, actual football—will commence in the form of an abbreviated (but much appreciated) Week 0 slate.

Saturday marks the official launch of college football season, with five opening matchups involving FBS teams spread from Dublin to O'ahu.

The 2025 college football season is right around the corner, with Week 0 action set for Aug. 23. Five games are on the slate that day, kicking off with a ranked Big 12 showdown in Dublin, Ireland, between the No. 22 Iowa State Cyclones and No. 17 Kansas State Wildcats.
