COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Drag shows are no longer allowed at event spaces on Texas A&M University campuses after the Texas A&M System Board of Regents passed the resolution Friday afternoon.
In the current iteration of Texas NIL legislation, House Bill 2804, universities are not allowed to directly pay athletes for use of their name, image, or likeness. However, a piece of the House settlement clears the way for athletic departments to distribute shared broadcast revenue with athletes for appearing on broadcasts of games.
