However, looking back further, Cincinnati has seen a significant drop in robberies over the past decade. In 2014, there were 1,348 robberies. Police said about 18% of robberies involved a juvenile suspect compared to just 9% of robberies last year. Desmond said this accounts for most of the increase year-over-year.

A 13-year-old boy is the city’s latest homicide victim, Cincinnati police say. He was found shot on the lawn of 700 Dutch Colony Drive in Winton Hills at 8:34 p.m. Thursday, according to Captain Stephen Bower.
