Billionaire businessman Bill Ackman has endorsed New York City Mayor Eric Adams to defeat socialist Zohran Mamdani and called on former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to drop out of this year's mayoral race.

Bill Ackman and Rev. Al Sharpton have urged Andrew Cuomo to remove his name from the New York City mayoral ballot in order to allow a one-on-one race between Eric Adams and Zohran Mamdani.

For Cuomo, the mayoral race is a chance at a comeback after he resigned as governor in 2021 over a report from Attorney General Letitia James' office that alleged he sexually harassed multiple female employees and created a toxic working environment. Cuomo has denied the allegations.
