A "shoot out" in the east valley that sent two people to the hospital late Monday night was started after a woman called one of the shooters to come get her from a "bad gang area."

According to LVMPD, an unknown vehicle struck a pedestrian around 2 a.m. on Sahara and Valley View, and fled the area. Arriving officers located the pedestrian and transported them to UMC, where they would later die.
