Golfer Rory McIlroy's 2025 has been quite eventful, but his golfing game got pretty strange for a second during Saturday's The Open round at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Island.

Rory McIlroy pulled off an unexpected and accidental trick during a shot from the rough on the 11th hole at the Open Championship on Saturday.

McIlroy stepped in to hit his second shot, and he took a lash at his ball, sending it into the sky. And from his divot, another ball emerged and came to rest between his feet. Confused, McIlroy picked it up in disbelief,

Rory McIlroy carded a 2-under 69 in the second round of The Open to give him back-to-back under-par rounds and, most importantly, a tee time on the weekend.
