DeKalb County has appointed Reginald D. Wells as the new Director of its Watershed Management department. CEO Lorraine Cochran-Johnson made the announcement, following the retirement of David Hayes.

During a stop by law enforcement officers Monday night, Feb. 24, in the Town of Fond du Lac, a Fond du Lac County Sheriff deputy shot and killed a person the deputy believed was producing a firearm.

He was later shot and killed by Fond du Lac County deputies after he reached for what looked like a gun. According to the DOJ, it was actually a pellet gun, designed to look like a real weapon.
