Houston Zoo returns 25 sea turtles home to Gulf after cold stuns in January and February
With temperatures warming, 24 cold-stunned green sea turtles and a loggerhead turtle have returned home to the cozy waters of the Gulf.

So far in 2025, a total of 102 cold-stunned turtles have been rescued, and rehabilitated by Houston Zoo with ongoing efforts to rehabilitate and return them to the wild.
