Fairfield National has been tearing it up at the Little League World Series, and the entire state is rallying behind them.

The Fairfield National Little League team is 2-0 and will face South Dakota Monday night in the Little League World Series.

FAIRFIELD, Iowa (KCRG) - A Fairfield teen is home safe after police found her in North Carolina with a 25-year-old man. Police found the teenager within 24 hours of her mom reporting her missing to the Fairfield Police Department. The department used special technology to find the man she was with-John Michael Johnson.

Soto, a 24-year-old with a pending asylum case, was detained by Fairfield police during a traffic stop Sunday before they turned her over to ICE agents.

The Summerlin South Little League team came up short on Wednesday, losing to Metro Region Fairfield, Connecticut. It was a battle of two previously undefeated teams. Fairfield handed the Mountain Region champions their first loss of the Little League World Series.
