‘Missing’ 9-year-old girl found dead after father falsely reporting her abducted, police say
New York State Police say just before 10 p.m. Saturday, Warren County 911 received a call from Canadian resident 45-year-old Luciano Frattolin reporting his 9-year-old daughter Melina Frattolin missing in a possible abduction, leading to an AMBER alert being issued.

Luciano Frattolin, 45, was charged with second-degree murder and improper disposal of a body after his daughter, Melina, was found dead in a shallow pond in Ticonderoga, near Lake George, on Sunday afternoon. Authorities say Frattolin had previously filed a false kidnapping report. He was booked into Essex County Jail at 2:04 a.m. on Monday.
