Nov. 13 (UPI) --President-elect Donald Trump has named Rep. Mike Waltz of Florida as his national security advisor, stating the first Green Beret to be elected to Congress will be "a tremendous champion of our pursuit of Peace through Strength."

Speaking to a VoA correspondent, the Florida Congressman said that Trump is interested in ending the war instead of continuing it.

President-elect Donald Trump selected Florida congressman Mike Waltz, a 50-year-old ex-Army Green Beret who served multiple combat tours in Afghanistan, as his national security advisor, according to a person familiar with the decision.
