Browns cornerback Denzel Ward suffered an apparent shoulder or arm injury during Tuesday's practice while defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. inches closer to a return.

With Emerson out for the year, there will be plenty of pressure on Ward and his fellow cornerback, Greg Newsome, to perform. Newsome, a first-round pick out of Northwestern in 2021, missed four games a year ago, finishing the season with 27 tackles, an interception and five pass breakups.

The three-time Pro Bowler didn't appreciate that, so he shoved the QB, resulting in a brief fight between the offense and the defense.

HOUSTON - A suspect is claiming self-defense for a shooting that killed a woman in Houston's Fifth Ward area, police say. The shooting was reported in the 3400 block of Cline Street, near Hirsch Road and Clinton Drive. Police say a woman was taken to a hospital, but was later pronounced deceased.
