Berry bugs, aka bush mites, aka chiggers like to find their way into crevasses and burrow into the skin. It doesnt itch until the mite is already in your skin starting to liquify the surrounding cells for eating. Itching them just causes them to move and burrow again, leaving you with a series of itchy bumps in crevasses. Clear nail polish suffocates them.
