Sunday Dinner - smother fried potatoes, little green butter beans with boiled okra, deviled eggs, fried pork chops, corn bread , y’all Sweet Tea and sliced juicy tomatoes. I guess we will have some chocolate candy that a follower gave me. That will be our desert. This is the day to worship and gather with fellow believers!! We are all sinners who need the savior. Fix your family some real macaroni cheese. Nobody needs to be eating fake cheese. My mother had certain menus that she used. Here's one of them ham fresh green beans, macaroni cheese, fried okra, cornbread, and sweet tea. Did your mother have certain menus and foods that she put together each time my mama did? | Cooking with Brenda Gantt

I'm making up a broccoli casserole out of what I have in my refrigerator. I always say - if you put good ingredients in a dish a delicious casserole or soup can be made. We ate this one for Sunday dinner. It was perfect. The bacon was great on it too. It's 29 degrees here in Andalusia , Alabama this morning. The snow will be melting in a few minutes because the temp is rising fast. Have a great day. I hear snow and cold weather is coming to many in our great nation this coming weekend. Bundle up

This French Onion soup is so special and really so easy to make. Remember to use the boxed beef broth NOT THE ONES IN CANS. THEY ATE TO SALTY. The grandchildren loved it for a light Christmas Day lunch. Hannah cooked a big Christmas supper for us on Christmas night. I'm ready for some down home cooking now. Purple hull peas and corn bread. Stewed apples are great as a part your meal or as baby food or a snack. My mother would stew a big batch of apples down for our family. This was her menu : big roasted ham, green beans, smother fried potatoes, stewed apples and cornbread. They make a wonderful side dish for your family. I put the left over apples in the refrigerator and eat them ice cold with a dash of cinnamon later in the day. If you have a little child at home, make this for them. It has no preservatives and no added sugars.

Thickening Potatoes are soul food in the South. People long ago made them often to fill the empty tummies of their children. The poached eggs. Gave them the protein and the potatoes gave the children potassium. Back then they probably had fresh whole milk from their cow. But if you were fixing it today, you can use water, whole milk, or skim milk. But I like the whole milk you do not have to put on cheese and onions. It taste just as good without it but tonight I wanted some mine. Remember your

This cucumber, tomato, yellow pepper, and onion makes the best summer salad. The dressing that I put on this makes a crispiness that you will love. I just have to let y'all know that the the Amish farm soap is having a special bundle for April. If you purchase two of the face creams, you get a big 5 Bar bag of soap free. I washed my hair and my body in this soap and I can truthfully say it's the best soap that I have ever used. My whole family uses this soap. The face cream is all natural and is

Steak Fingers - you can take any beef , steak , roast or stew beef and deep fat fry it. We use deer meat this way ,too. It’s delicious that way. Use any spices that your family likes. Remember to pick up a few bags of White Lily for your fall baking. We try to have at least one processed deer in our freezer every year. Deer fingers are one of our favorites. Good Morning Y'all. Yesterday I made myself Hamburger Steak, fluffy Rice and Gravy. I also will show you how I made ordinary loaf bread into something delicious. Just to let y'all know, my goldfish did not die even though their tank had an inch of solid ice on the top of the tank. So my fish are ready for spring. They will eat all the mosquito larva as soon as the turn into wrigglers. That's how I keep my mosquito population down around my house. I rarely have mosquitoes now. I also planted two
