This engine is a 161cu.in Liteweight BB7 spec’d for a dirt midget. During the run, we sweep from 4000-9,500rpm. On track this engine package is limited to 9,800rpm by their class rules. You’ll notice a few extra bits anodized or coated black on this build. Our customer requested “all black” so that is what he got. Finished running Eric Houlihan’s 2.4L street/trackday Duratec engine on the dyno yesterday. Wanted to test a few popular NC headers, but the don’t clear the chassis of the dyno. In total, we made 35 4000-8000rpm pulls and tested 3 different intake manifold & throttlebody setups.... And the new powerband is actually easier on the engine at high power levels because it helps reduce exhaust dillution that is a little bit of a problem on Ecoboost engines making big power.
