I don’t like to grow tulips outdoors because the squirrels dig them up and eat them. I buy my tulips in late fall and leave them in the garage. Tulips need 6 to 12 weeks of cold temperatures below 50°F before they will break dormancy and start growing. By mid February, I pot the bulbs in soil and water them.
