Traditional Thai Musical Instrument SAW-U (ซออู้) Saw-U is a Thai bowed string instrument with a lower pitch sound propably originated from a Chinese musical instrument called the Hu Hu. The soundbox is made from a coconut shell that is covered on the open front by cowskin. It is held vertically and has two silk strings that are played with a bow.
