Sarah Cray on Instagram: "Now that is some gorgeous granulation 😍 Granulation or granulating watercolors is when the pigment particles do not evenly disperse in the layer of watercolor, and instead clump together giving it a speckled or grainy texture. Granulation is determined by the pigments used and heavier/denser pigments have a tendency to granulate. I love it for these atmospheric paintings!"
