Small zoo with a big impact! 🐅We’ve been visiting the Topeka Zoo for years now. I love the smaller size at Topeka Zoo because we get to visit every animal and exhibit in one morning. Then we can do a picnic lunch in Gage Park across the street or spend the afternoon at @kansasdiscovery. Because it is a smaller size, kids get to be closer to animals at the Topeka Zoo. It’s very stroller-friendly and makes for a fun day trip from Kansas City! They have all the zoo animals my kids love: elephants,

The Kansas City Chiefs spirit can be felt throughout the Zoo! Some animals like sea lions Delilah and Luna have been the perfect cheerleaders, while caracal Nandi and addax Mariano demonstrated skillful ways to take down the 49ers. Guests who visited the Zoo saw excellent chalk art at the Scrubland Aviary and even goal post enrichment in the octopus habitat. Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium on Reels

We are thrilled to welcome one of our newest friends to the Zoo: Chandler! Could he BE any cooler? This sandbar shark is one of the first arrivals to the 650,000-gallon aquarium, which is scheduled to open Labor Day weekend. Chandler will reside in the Pacific Reef habitat that will be the home to a variety of shark species.
