This is our first-ever video of a Canada lynx—look at those huge paws!! Thankfully it decided to stop in front of the camera for a while (it was also making some vocalizations of some sort!). This video was taken this August near Junction Bay. Lynx are quite rare in the Greater Voyageurs Ecosystem so pretty cool to get such clear footage of one! | Voyageurs Wolf Project

We captured a lot of really neat lynx footage this past fall and winter! They are just such ethereal looking creatures, and its always a highlight when we get footage of them, especially in the daylight. We were going to make a video sharing our best lynx footage from the fall and winter but the video ended up being really long so we split it in two! A nice daytime video of a lynx in early fall! Getting videos of lynx are pretty uncommon in our area. That said, we have had more “lynx sightings" this year than in previous years, likely, in part, because we have more cameras out. However, most of our videos of lynx are at night where the quality is not nearly as good so getting a nice video of one in the daylight is always rewarding and neat to see. | Voyageurs Wolf Project
