Pyrite ammonites are quite often a first find for many visiting Charmouth beach. Washed from the fossil rich shales that makes up a good proportion of the cliffs here. They were certainly what made me interested in fossil hunting as a child :) Although I've moved on to bigger rocks now, I still collect a few on a beach walk, each bringing a little moment of joy.
