We are often asked why we do machinework on NEW blocks before we use them in our builds… This Mazda LF (2006-2015 MX5) block measures 8.541” deck height [(2.245”/2) 7.420”] at the rear of the block, and 8.533” [(2.245”/2) 7.412”] at the front. That is a full .008” (8 thousandths) difference from front to back! This needs to be fixed!
