#63….60 years ago Girvan harbour was my playground. For the past 40 years I’ve either worked at the harbour or worked from the harbour. 25 years with the RNLI, 30 years as Harbourmaster & nearly 5 years as commercial skipper for Glenapp Castle cruising up & down the west coast of Scotland. Also trialling Lifeboats out of Nobles boatyard for about 30 years. Many of these jobs overlapped. (I’m not that old lol) It’s been both laughter & tears, good times & bad but, overall it’s been a fine adventu
