Goldsmiths’ Hall, on Foster Lane near St Paul’s Cathedral, is the home of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, one of the City of London’s Great Twelve Livery Companies. The current building, designed by Philip Hardwick and completed in 1835, is a striking example of neoclassical architecture. The Hall houses the London Assay Office, which has tested and hallmarked precious metals for over 700 years. Its interiors have also made it a popular filming location appearing in The Crown, Transformers
